Did you know...
that Jesus stayed on the earth for 40 days after His resurrection?
This story is about the final days of Jesus on earth.
The Bible tells us that after rising from the dead, Jesus stayed on Earth for 40 days.
During that time, He met with his disciples and followers, giving convincing proofs that he was alive.
Jesus also spoke about the Kingdom of God.

When it was almost the end of the 40 days, Jesus was eating with His disciples. He said to them, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which I have spoken about. John was baptised with water, but in a few days you will be baptised and will receive the Holy Spirit.
As Jesus finished talking to His disciples at the Mount of Olives, He started floating up, up, up!
He disappeared into a cloud that hid Him from their sight.

The disciples stood there amazed, looking up at the sky. Suddenly, two men dressed in bright white clothes appeared beside them.
They asked the disciples, "Why are you standing here looking into the sky?". Then they explained that this same Jesus would return one day in the same way He left.
For now, they should spread His message as His witnesses.
This is a joyful and important moment because even though Jesus went to heaven, He promised to always be with us through the Holy Spirit.
His disciples knew it wasn't goodbye forever, and it wasn't the end of their mission. It was the beginning of a new chapter, and they were ready to share the good news with the world.
