St. Peter's archives are located in the basement of the church in a room fondly known as the "torni tuba" - the tower room, since it sits just below the tall cross tower in our courtyard.
The Archive group was formed in the fall of 1999 and began with an enthusiastic group. The work progressed in two groups, one meeting during the day, the other in the evenings.
Materials are sorted into binders, boxes, envelopes, etc. and include anything related to our congregation such as documents, financial statements, books, minister and member materials, historical items, invoices, minutes of meetings, letters, song sheets, newspaper clippings, photographs, pieces of our fallen cross, and other interesting items. The archive also contains Sunday School materials, English Sector documents, Cantate Domino choir materials, and more.
The Archive group often greets visitors interested in the history of our congregation and church and has provided information to those working on their master's degrees.
Please donate to our archives any material related to our church. If possible, please date and place names on any photographs.
Toronto Peetri koguduse arhiivitoimkond tegutseb ikka rõõmsalt edises üksmeeles. Aastate vältel on liikmeskonnas toimunud väike kahanemine.
Alustasime arhiivitööd 1999. a. oktoobris suure huvi ja suure segadusega. Alguses oli meil ka õhtune grupp. Palju vabatahtlikke tuli meile abiks ja arhiivitöö edenes hästi.
Meil ei ole arhiivis üksnes fotod ja kirjalikud materjalid, vaid ka raamatud, õpetajate ja kadunud kirikuliikmete arhiivid, ajaloolised kirikuesemed (isegi üks põletamisraud), meie langenud torniristi tükid ja palju muid huvitavaid esemeid.
Arhiivis on ka pühapäevakooli arhiiv, mida korristas Anne Kriisa-Graydon, inglise koguduse arhiiv, segakoori Cantate Domino arhiiv, vaimuliku pasunakoori arhiiv ja palju muud.
