There has been recent talk that the neighbourhood around the church is no longer suitable due to the shelter across the street at the Roehampton Hotel. Please take note that The Shelter, Support & Housing Administration staff have announced that the temporary shelter located at the former Roehampton Hotel, 808 Mount Pleasant Road in Ward 12-Toronto-St. Paul's, will close at the end of August. At this time, staff have advised that the property owner has chosen not to renew the City's lease.Â
In preparation to decommission the site, new admissions closed on June 16. City staff and partner agencies are working with all current facility residents on housing transition plans or safe relocation to another appropriate shelter program.
