Did you know...
that Jesus performed many miracles? A miracle is an extraordinary event that is unusual or wonderful. It is a sign of the power of God.
This story is about Jesus healing people.
Ilusal järvekaldal asus Jeesuse armsaim linn Kapernaum. Seal elas kogudusekoja ülem Jairus. Ta 12-aastane tütar oli raskesti haige. Tütarlaps lamas voodis. Ta nägu punetas palavikust. Laual seisis rohupudeleid.
Jeesus Naatsaretist on praegu Kapernaumas. Tema võib meid aidata."
One day in a place called Capernaum, many people had again come to listen to Jesus talk.
One of the rulers from the synagogue named Jairus came looking for Jesus and fell down at His feet. He pleaded with Jesus, “My little daughter who is 12 is very sick and about to die. I pray you come and lay your hands on her and make her well.”

Ruttu läheb Jairus Jeesust otsima. Ta leiab Jeesuse ta jüngritega Peetruse vaeses kalamehe-hurtsikus. Jairus langeb Jeesuse ette põlvili, palub teda: "Minu tütar on väga-väga haige. "Su tütar on surnud.
Jesus looked at the man who was so desperate with emotion and decided to go with him to his house at once. As Jesus followed Jairus, a crowd followed behind them.

On the way to Jairus’ house, there was a woman who was sick with a blood disease. Many doctors had tried to treat her, but she just got more and more sick.
The woman had heard of Jesus and was in the crowd. She thought to herself, “If I just touch his clothes, I will get well.” She made her way close to Jesus and reached out and touched Him.
When the woman touched Jesus’ clothing she could feel that she was immediately healed and her bleeding stopped.
Jesus asked, “Who touched me?”
The disciples were surprised because there were so many people all around Jesus pressing up against Him. How could He feel that someone had touched Him?
Jesus answered, “No, someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.”

The woman was afraid and trembling because she knew what had just happened. She came before Jesus and fell to her knees. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched Him, and that she had been immediately healed.
Jesus said to her, “My daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Meanwhile, Jairus’ daughter had gotten much worse and had died. Some men came to tell this to Jairus and said that it was no longer necessary for Jesus to come.
Jesus heard this and said to Jairus, “Be not afraid. Only believe.”
Then Jesus told everyone else to stay behind. He took only Peter, James and John, the brother of James, and He went to Jairus’ house.
When Jesus got there, He found many people crying and wailing. Jesus said to them, “Why do you make this noise and weep? The girl is not dead, she is only sleeping.” The people started laughing at Jesus.
Jesus took the girl’s father, mother, and the three disciples that were with Him, and went into the room where the child was laying.
Jesus took a hold of the girl’s hand and said “Talitha, koum”. This means, “Get up, my child.” At that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up. The little girl was now alive!

Everyone was filled with astonishment. Then Jesus told her parents to give her something to eat.
The parents were overwhelmed, but Jesus insisted that they not tell anyone what had happened.
